Carpet choice - size & styles

Dear all, I want to connect the loving room space together by bringing two new carpets. I was thinking between Vintage "washed out "beige" look for couch area & light orange beige for dining table. I would go for carpet that covers coach & chairs fully . Would that not be too big?
