HELP! Paneled fridge dilemma!!

We are finalizing our cabinetry order and I'm trying to figure out how our paneled refrigerator will really look. Our cabinets are full frame overlay white shaker. Our fridge is one of the new fully integrated (not just built in), Fisher Paykel. See here: (https://www.fisherpaykel.com/us/kitchen/fridge-freezers/built-in/activesmart-refrigerator-36-bottom-freezer-integrated-with-ice-.RS36W80LJ1.html). My cabinet maker says there has to be a 5/16" gap (which is more than 1/4") around the box and the door panel. I'm worried this will be a noticeable gap (especially because our cabinets are white) and that it won't give me the seamless look I want. If there's going to be a noticeable gap, I am thinking I should just do stainless. Why panel if there's going to be a big space? Has anyone installed this fridge recently w/ panels? If so, can you please post a picture? Alternatively, is there any way to achieve the seamless look I want? Like here? Thank you!!!
