Love the coffee table! First, decide on a color palette. The grey and white rug, the green drapes, and the expresso accent wall are not compatible. Do you favor the beige and expresso or do you favor grey and black.

I really think you need to scale down the accessories over the TV, and the plant life. Can you find a better home for the microwave?

I also like the coffee table and the idea of more modern chairs.

This room is so close! Love the sofa and coffee table even if one is all curvy and the other acute angles. The room is headed to 70s and 80s with the plants, dark wood and non traditional furniture shapes.

Agree about the two chairs being very different in theme from the rest of the place. The renaissance chair
is quite architectural and could stand in as a piece of sculpture but
the other is pretty ordinary looking and would be better elsewhere in
the house. Would be great if you could go shop and find a mid century
modern design comfy chair in place of the blue one. Womb chair is super
comfy as is my Dux recliner but go shop and see what you like best. I've
sat in a Wegner shell and it was nice but no womb chair.

The pillows on the sofa don't work for me. None of them. Recover or replace with bold modern patterns in a limited palette. I'd make them larger and evaluate how many you need to have.

Love all the greenery but maybe it could be displayed better? What happens if they are on the window ledge? Block too much light? Put them to each side in the window? Or try putting a couple on the floor on the right hand side. Dislike the cube as a plant stand in the window.

For all your stuff. If it's important to you then do try to display it all. One sees great shelf displays of collections of like items. Not a whole lot of like items here. Try organizing shelf by shelf by color or shape or size. All the skinny stuff or boxes or simple or busy or do a 'rainbow' color gradation along the shelf or play with sloping or the other way around and alternate high low or make a triangle along one shelf and a V on another. In other words pattern like you are a first grader with colored beads to string! If it's just stuff then ruthlessly cull and rehome or store!

I cannot quite see but the corners by the entrance don't look like they are holding up their ends. Stuff looks dark, too low and cluttered?

Now that the room is furnished I'd take down all the artwork and reevaluate location and need. Not all blank spots need something on the wall!

Thank you so much Kathy Yata. The cube on the window ledge was an attempt to keep the plants out of the cats' reach. But the tactic didn't quite work. Cats! :-)

Ha, pitiful try. I see replanted native areas with the baby plants caged in wire mesh. Maybe you could do the opposite, cage delicious fun to play with plants in a decorative bird cage?
