Does this require a frame? Or does it have a platform for the box springs. If it is a platform how many slates come with it.

Hi there, thanks for your question! The Everett Bed is great and is handmade to order right here in Los Angeles, CA, where Apt2B is based- made in the USA!

To answer your question, the Everett DOES, in fact, require a box spring. The bed comes with 5 thick wooden support slats upon which the box spring rests. Some customers not looking to use a full size boxspring will make use of a lower profile box spring which can shave 4-6" off of the overall height of the foundation and mattress.
