Red oak floor. Pine or poplar trim

We are getting a red oak floor and wondered what type of trim to use. I like the color of the pictured or lighter throughout the house and will have pine doors and a pine ceiling. Any thoughts?

    So long as the undertones work...you are good to go. Dozens of species of pine...some of them have different tones to them. Grab a plank of the pine and a box of the hickory and lay them out. See if they work together.
