Backsplash help in a kitchen

I am having a hard time deciding on a backsplash...here are 2 options but not sure if either works. The paint color in the kitchen has since been changed to SW Dorian Gray. Granite is called Bianco Antico.

Hi KS. I like your choice of granite countertop! I did a Houzz search on Blanco Antico & came up w/ numerous photos of kitchens w/ this countertop. There are a lot of different backsplashes that would work - although some photos have great backsplashes for a huge kitchens which may not work for a normal, reasonable sized kitchen like yours (& my kitchen!).
That said, I do like the lighter colored tile in your picture - a light colored tile will keep the kitchen bright. Unless you have under-cabinet lights, the backsplash will always seem dark under the shadow of the cabinets.

Don't do either, use color instead or a patterned wallpaper if you insist on the gray's.

I love the color of your cabinets and granite:) You have a very warm and inviting kitchen so far. Lowes has a nice glazed tile that comes in varies shapes and sizes. The color choices are Pearl, Chocolate, and Fawn. I think all the colors could work in your kitchen depending on how dark or light you wanted to go. But I think the Fawn color would be perfect.

It's difficult to tell what material the tiles are - ceramic or glass? your kitchen looks to be a bit on the darker side so I would go for the lighter option if they are ceramic. You could use one row of darker tile as an accent if you want some contrast. If the material is glass, you might be able to get away with a darker tile since it would add some reflection of light and have a white mastic behind it. Just maybe not that dark or opaque. Would love to see what you decide upon!

I would go light for sure...something that works woth the soft white in the granite and your cabinets. Too much pattern in a backsplash will fight with the pattern in the granite. I would go with subway tile.
