Any suggestions would be appreciated. I'm really hoping that I did not waste money buying this table and server.

Great dining set. You could go neutral or you could pick up the blue-green of the tabletop for your living room. It depends on your style and your room layout.

Which of your photos is true to color? The first is very pale and the second, very gold.

I would choose a vibrant color for the sofa, and NOT leather. Enough of that look on the chairs. Go modern and maybe velvet (new velvets are very forgiving).

Add a beautiful rug, lamps, coffee table and a great wall color.

@judy the 1st one was taken in the store and the 2nd one at home. The wood is white however the seat cushion looked silver in store but here at homes looks to have a champagne tone

I meant a modern look when I said straight lines or clean lines. Possibly grey?

Turquoise accent pieces would look great with the blue tinted glass inserts on the table.

Do you have a favorite color? I would suggest a light cream (not yellow) velvet sofa and then you can pick pillows that bring out your fav color. You could also find a rug you like and pull accents colors from it for pillows or small sprinkles of accents.
