Struggling to come up with ideas for my Living room

Hi all,

This is my first post on here, normally I get enough ideas from the site to get on with my project but I am stuck with my living room. I have added a floor plan of the room and pictures from the previous owner (off rightmove)

It feels like a really awkward room. The fireplace is too tall so the TV can't go over the top of it. Opposite the fireplace the Bay window makes it really awkward for a sofa to fit in. and then the door into the room is central taking up the whole of the wall!

We really like bare brick and a modern industrial style so I was thinking of removing the fireplace (it is not an original one) going with a bare brick chimney and a low level fireplace with chunky oak shelving.

I would also like to fit my PC into the room so I can be in the same room as my wife when I'm on it!

So if anyone has some ideas or images of ways they have made the most out of this type of layout it would be appreciated!

Your photos are not coming up very clear so it is really hard to tell. Wha do you use the room for?

Can you make 2 pieces out of that sectional? If so, then I'd do that and pull it away from the bay window. You can then create a desk area behind the sofa.

HI, I guess you can choose a projector to replace Tv. As you want to watch TV, you can put screen down ,and if you just wanna go ,collect it and show your beautiful wall.

Seems like way too much big furniture for this room. Like Lindsay Rose asked, is this your furniture? Or are we dealing with different items. Could you give us measurements? I can't read the small print on the drawing you so kindly posted. Also, can you convert to inches or feet and inches?

A 3-seat sofa and two chairs are a good choice. Previous owners had the right idea about TV placement but too large a set.

The furniture is the previous owners. We are going to be getting all new furniture for the room. We love to watch TV together so the room will be used a lot! Also we now have a 4 month old, so will need to think about how best to do the room for him!

The room is 3.25m x 3.5m if you exclude the bay and alcoves. which is 10.79t x 11.57ft
