Will she be using existing bedding or buying new? The beige and reddish coral are good candidates for wall paint colors.

Philadelphia Cream would be pretty.

I'd pick up the light color in the fabric for the walls. It's difficult to select a color from a n image on a computer monitor, but try some of Benjamin Moore's historical colors in the gold/tan/beige range.

The lightest off-white or cream color is the way to go for the walls. The drapes are nice but don't be tempted to use one of the darker colors--it would be too much.

How long are the drapes? Hopefully long enough to just hang the rods high over the windows to show off the height of the room. Let them fall to the floor. Adjusting the placement of the rod is so much easier than hemming. That will also give extra soundproofing.

I would choose the lighter shades, Like the taupe color in curtain panel.

Look at Urban Putty by Sherwin Williams. Beige but not too yellow.

Let mom choose the color she likes best from the drapes. Then take them to a real paint store and ask for help making a match.

I would do creamy white walls like SW Antique White or match the red...add off white bedding letting the strong drapery fabric pop off the walls..add black lamps with off white shades...you could also go the total opposite direction and match the deep cherry red for your walls but keep all the bedding white...here are a couple images to help visualize...I would not add any gold paint colors..if you want it to have a more updated feel stick with light creamy tones or a strong red.

Yoo much red is too much. I like contrast when choosing a paint color. Light and bright with pops of red.
