What do I do with these boxes under the window?

Hi all. I am updating the exterior of my house and am wondering what I should do with these wooden panels under my windows? How do I update them to look more contemporary, or should I pull them out and try to match the brick that's already there?

9 years agoCute house! I would update the house by changing out the front windows so all three matched. There are so many great styles of windows to choose from and depending on how old the windows are, new windows could improve the energy efficiency of the home.
