Post pictures of all sides of the room so we can really help you.

Your room simply needs more layers of texture. The mirrors don't really add much to the room. Ceramic handpainted plates could have worked, or framed graphics. I would add pattered drapes. Not sure these from Overstock are the right color for the room without seeing more of the home. Your chandelier is mounted too high for the area so lower it.

lowering a fixture is hard with out extra wire and chain.

Cord and chain are two items available at any hardware store or electrical supply.

Unless the ceilings are very high, or the chandelier has some unusual shape, dining chandeliers are mounted 30" above the top of the table.

Should I just change out the roman blinds for a patterned one or should I keep the roman blinds and add patterned drapes?

I actually measured where the chandelier is. I need to drop it 8 inches to get it to be 30" off the table (there is more cord that I had looped and hidden in the cord cover...I'll let out the cord more to get the right height). Thanks for the good thoughts!

Your room already looks very nice. Beverly's advice regarding the panels is right on. I would either add the panels with the shade or just use panels.
