My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Practicality of very long island

Maybe this photo is deceiving but it does not seem very practical going around the island to get across the kitchen.

      It's very practical for food preparation, entertaining and actual dining! I love extra large islands without any appliances or sinks! Great choice to also feature the gorgeous stone countertops.

      What is the distance between the cooking surface and the decorative hood?

      regarding the length of island and food prep. Is there a sink prep area near stove top? How would someone drain a big pot of pasta? I see the water spigot above the cooking surface, but not sure about sink prep.

      This kitchen also has a sink at this end of that island. Take a look at the other photos to the right. :)
