I moved into a new house and need help decorating my living. I have a large white modern sectional and I have a

large brown carpet.

The room has a fireplace and I would like to use that area to sit. I do not want to compromise comfort for looks. Ideally the use of a chaise there would be awesome as I could just plunge by the fireplace with a book. However the space is not large enough for 2. What can I put here (possibly 2 super comfy chairs) that will not take over the living room. I like to keep a modern spacious look without clutter but with a classic type of decoration. I like softer tones.
