Yesterday's QOTD, "how you all make a decision on your next quilt pattern, colour etc"

My Guild has scrap tables of donated fabrics & scraps which would otherwise get tossed. I always go & collect shirtings to make charity quilts.

Had Guild Meeting yesterday. I wasn't looking for anything, have actually been organizing my stash & donating fabrics I won't use ...

Yet my mind notices all these scraps while sorting thru it all & here's one packet resulting from what came home w/ me. This sorted out to this nice combo. (ackk brought 3 bundles home)

Shorter version, sometimes I find the fabrics almost pick themselves. I just need to pay attention.

Not a lot of it, maybe enough for a baby quilt or lap quilt, not a purple person, but this combined to such a nice array of lilacs & varied scale of florals & checks. I couldn't ignore it.

Am keeping them together stored away in the "Ideas" collection, now I've got this pic to remind me & just keep an eye out for an appropriate pattern.

So many quilts, so little time!
