You may want to consider a mirrored/glass narrow, 9" deep, coffee, baking storage, pantry wall for that spot.

I think it would work just fine. Go for it.

I have a giant mirror in my kitchen and I love it.

Other idea is to use large artwork that has been framed with glass. Normally one wouldn't necessarily use the reflective qualities of artwork glass as a good thing, but I find it creates nice effects and dimension.

First off, that is an absolutely gorgeous kitchen. What does the mirror look like? I think the room really needs some warmth, so if it's wood, that could work very well!

I don't suggest a mirror for a kitchen; particularly when you won't have space for a console or chest beneath.

Agree hang it vertical....I love the idea......but if it is a rectangle mirror I would add some kind of windowpane overlay to the mirror..it will add charm and have the feeling of a window reflecting light...or a beautiful cross criss wood panel for a more European touch.
