Chinese New Years Swap 2017

Okay anyone interested please sign up by the 23rd. The plan is to send 2-4 seed varieties to me along with a stamp. Normal paper envelopes will be used. Mail 3-4 seed types to me contact me for information (might sound sketchy but I promise you will get seeds in return.) So the plan I had in mind is send seeds along with one forever stamp to me then I'll redistribute the seeds back. If you send 3 types of plants you'll receive 3 back if you send 4 you'll get 4 back. This is my first time setting anything like this up so any suggestions I'd be happy to hear.

So the idea I had in mind was all Asian vegetables, any sort of red flower, but absolutely no chrysanthemum flowers of any types as these are only used in funerals.

P.S. and yes this is open to people of all ethnicities so feel free to join in if you want.

please say if you want to be in this trade to be signed up. message me or email me when you're ready to send: smungung25@gmail.com

just send back to those you have gotten. Delivery Confirmation # are always a good idea. Things sometimes get lost even with them but at least it verifies they were sent.I know it requires a trip to the PO but it's worth the bother

yea im going to get everything sent out this weekend really sorry for how long this has taken

seeds were mailed this morning thanks for participating maybe again next year :)

perhaps next year you might join the New Year theme swap and see how it usually works.

You can just post your theme as Chinese or Oriental veggies.

    Just a thought/suggestion

I just opened Daikon radish seeds. Most of them are smashed, almost grounded except about 15. Daikon, I 've always wanted to plant Diakon.

Next time, let's try to wrap at least with a half size of paper towel or a sponge-like cushion.

Smugung! I think you have to initiate this event EARLIER next year, if you do and I hope you DO again.

    Thanks all!

Yes, Kay, most regular traders prefer to pay the extra postage to use a padded envelope. The envelopes get used over and over. Years ago we did one where we kept track of a "wandering envelope" that went from member to member until it was too beat up and needed to be replaced. Silly but fun too

Beth, I am ALL for frugality and fun. How are your Diakon seeds, all intact? I want to try this; if large seeds will be delivered without getting broken via the cheapest way.

I really want to SEE if any of you have Diakon seeds and send me seeds, wrapped, rolled in a couple times, in a half size paper towel to see if they arrive w/o getting cracked; Not in a brown bubble wrap which cost more postage.

Any generous person to spend a stamp? I will send you an extra stamp the next time we trade, poss, next year. Or I can pay you in paypal if you have the account.

I sent mine in a paper towel and two types were returned to me because they had been crushed. I'll stick with the padded envelopes because they don't generally go through the big stamping machine.

I have rat tail radishes but no Diakons. If you want some of those, let me know. Maybe next year for Daikon
