so pretty!!, is there an accent color you would like to incorporate? do you have a print to go over your fireplace that you could pull colors out of from there?

I'd say pick a color you love and use that as your main accessory color. Then pick a rug and curtains that have that color in it or pair nicely with it.

Look at woven grass/sisal or wool sisal. It will add some texture but keep it neutral so that you can go in different directions with accessories. Consider a deeper sea green for the curtains to give some contrast. Maybe even adding some trim on the drape edge. Accessories for the mantle, coffee table and wall decor are going to pull this room together so take your time in selecting them.

I love @tedbixby sisal idea. If you don't want to go that casual, take a look at the Edison rug in Nickel from rugsusa.com. I have it in a room with similar decor and it looks amazing. It's a wonderful neutral rug and I get tons of compliments on it. Here's some screen shots. The rug is off white but not too creamy, with no yellowy undertones, and the pattern color is a silvery greige color. The photos below are pretty accurate - first one more accurately reflects the greige.

I have had a sisal rug both in a grass and in a wool in previous homes.

The problem with grass sisal is that it doesn't stain easily it just is hard to remove stains and I would not recommend it for a home with pets or kids. Though it can be a cheap rug for a short term solution. On the other hand a wool sisal will give you the texture but a better wear and stain removable ability but usually the price will reflect that, too.

The other thing is that you can always find a carpet that you love and then have it cut and bounded to your desired size, too. Lots of texture carpeting and type of fibers that will best fit your need to choose from.
