Can you add some bigger photos? Show photos of the rocks upclose, too. What color is the roof?

Wow, looks completely different in those two photos. How about moving the planters out to the entry sidewalk area and replanting the empty ones with bright bougainvillea or yellow jasmine? If you have enough summer irrigation water, you could re-sod the front yard like the real estate photo, and replant a tree near where the original one was. If you have water restrictions, consider adding a drought resistant landscape instead. Some nurseries offer a consultation with their designers for $200 or so in my area. Or hire a professional landscape designer for a new design if you want drop dead gorgeous. There is also a landscape forum on the gardenweb side of houzz where you could post this question, too.

First thing I notice is you need some pretty shrubs under the windows. I'm partial to pampas myself. You can get it in all sorts of sizes and colors.

You mentioned a walkway. What if you extended the walkway from the driveway and continued it around the front to the side of the house? Not concrete, though.

But, you should make the walkway wider where it meets the driveway so it's a sort of sweeping, gentle path. Note the bottom of this pic where the walkway is wider.

If you made it something which matched the stone of the house, or was a combination of the stone color and driveway color, then it would emphasize your entryway.

What if you painted your house? A lighter or darker color would emphasize the stone. Otherwise it all blends in. I think the garage door needs something. Don't know. Maybe when it's a different color that will help.

I'd like to see two large pots in front of the entryway posts with shaped evergreen shrubs.
