Hi folks! Hoping you all can help me make a couple of decisions regarding painting/tiling around the garden window bumpout in front of the sink in our kitchen. The wall to the left (with all the wires sticking out) will have cabinets, and to the right of the window will be open shelving. The cabinets and shelves are white, and the counter will be a dark brown granite. Trim will be white, and the wall color will likely be a greige. My kitchen designer has suggested tiling the entire wall with the backsplash tile, I am undecided whether to do that, or just tile up to the bottom shelf. Either way, would the tile continue onto the side walls of the window bumpout? What about the surface surrounding the window? If I am painting it, I assume it is wall color? Does the top surface of the bumpout also get painted wall color? Trim color? Ceiling color?
