Bonnie Hunter (Quiltville) has several books available, and she's all about scraps! She has great time and fabric saving techniques, too.

I'll second Donna's recommendation of Bonnie Hunter. I don't have any of her books, but I've done several of the free patterns she has on-line. Judy Martin has several books that look interesting too, although I've never tried one of her patterns.

If you like to use 2 1/2" strips, maybe a book with patterns for Jelly Rolls? Some of the scrappy patterns use a lot of tiny pieces so maybe a trip to the library, JoAnn's or LQS and look through the books to see what tickles your fancy before buying a book sight unseen.

Your post inspired me to look into other scrap books, and I ordered one today from Amazon. It's Spectacular Scraps: a Simple Approach to Stunning Quilts by Judy Hooworth and Margaret Rolfe. It appears that their quilts are more "controlled" scrappies, which I love.

I agree with a Bonnie Hunter book. Addicted to Scraps, String Fling, or Quilts for Scrap Lovers would be a good start. If you need some strings, I can donate a nice size box in a variety of colors. Just let me know.

I bought String Flings, Spectacular Quilts, etc, and Successful Scrap Quilts from Simple Rectangles. Two were used to the prices were good. Grammyp I would love a box of the strings, do you want to wait until I see if I need the insect fabric? Once I get the books, I'll know how to start cutting up the 2 bags of donated fabric. Quilting does get our blood pumping, doesn't it?
