Can anyone help with a paint color for this north face room. Sofa is a beige gold. I've been looking at BM Manchester Tan and Grant Beige they both are looking muddy

What color is it now? A few suggestions: pull the rug over so the front legs of sofa are on it; put TV on a console to right of FP; piece of art over FP so mirror is reflecting something worth seeing 2x; if the red/orange is your accent it should only be in 3 places in the room so remove the pillow from the chair & the throw & 2 large pillows from the sofa. Then look at paint colrs

It's SW toasted pine nut....what should I do for pillows on sofa?? I'm looking at linen fabric for window treatments

I agree Melanie....I'm trying to stay away from gold walls.

The sofa is staying against the wall. I'm also looking for art work above sofa

Since the paint and sofa are neutral colors I would add color with pillows. Any color you prefer really. You'll need to add a few accessories with the color you choose to kinda tie it all in. (Lamp, frame, base, etc.)

If I take away all pillow what should I put on sofa

This room is beautiful. Too many pillows on sofa. Narrow down to 3. No lumbar. Remove throw. Pull rug under sofa. Choose your art for over the sofa before your paint color.

Love your room and its subtleties. I don't see any reason to change the wall color. The current color works with your sofa and rug. Grey will be too cool for the room. However, the mirror over the sofa doesn't work or ground that wall. I tried to find art in a peachy pink vein with no success, so IMO bringing the black of the rug and the table might be the best way to anchor the wall.

Like the idea, however, the background of the rug is chocolate brown. I like the idea adding black to the wall.

I know this contradicts what I said earlier about beige but I really do like the colors of your wall now. I understand needing a change though. Have you considered just painting one wall a really pretty accent color? Bold could be fun!

Lovely room. I thought there was black in your rug as well...so I added a few black elements.

I think a very soft beige/pink/peach would look amazing, and warm up the room. Similar to #2 or 3.

I suggest another table and lamp on the left of sofa...maybe a ginger jar lamp in an Oriental design for more pattern in the room. something with a black frame over sofa, too.

I would look for a coral. These are three from Benjamin Moore.

Don't know if you're feeling adventurous or not -- but have you thought of black? Pull your sofa out from the wall -- and you could put a long sofa table behind it with some buffet lamps and framed family pictures. Then, either find some big art for the wall or do a gallery wall.

threers thank you....however the table is staying it a Ethan Allen piece I won't give up. All the furniture in the room is new

I like dark colors behind wall mounted TVs so I'd try something to match the rug color on that wall. The TV will fade away and the FP will take center stage. You're overloaded on pillows and I don't care for the mirror, but otherwise things are working pretty well here.

threers I read your post wrong. I'm in the process of buying another table for the left of the sofa. Thank you

For some reason, the first thought I had was one of contrasts. Your furniture is tasteful, classic and neutral. How about a bit more depth? A deep colour perhaps? (Blue perhaps?) paint can always be changed and I think the classic neutral furnishings might "pop" more in a contrasting colour setting.

I'll try and post a houzz photo that demonstrates. Let me find it.

Have a look at the dining room in "waterfront Home" by Elizabeth Reich (hope I spelled that correctly) on Houzz. What a deep, striking yet embracing colour.

Hmmm, perhaps a feature wall/wall paper then? Have a play with some ideas - exciting!

We are often so afraid of getting it wrong, that we hold back and stay safe. Never, don't we admire those designers and people who dare a little?

So interested to see how it goes, keep us posted!

I meant to write however, not never.

I noticed that the white trim in the photo I posted plays an important highlighting role as well.

    Good luck!
