a small chandelier or a pendant. you're free regarding the style. can be very trad echoing the allover space, can be modern echoing your very cool art, juxtaposing the room a bit.

look at the tons of pics..you have so many cool possibilities here.

when i was choosing lighting I created a couple of boards on Pinterest..a purely inspiration one, and a more practical one-lights that could actually work. then you cut the ones with wrong dimensions, high price(oh how sad and how easy lol)..then you try to understand what's between these like, what's love, what's short term infatuation. and that takes time. (well, or falling in love so hard you don't have time to think since it's an EBay auction or something. then you need to be sure and act fast). then you narrow it down.

I used Pinterest but it can be anything that works for you. Pinterest's easier since it takes you back to the source. where you can -more often than not-double check the price, the dimensions, look at it again as much as you need.

Will it be in the same position as the current light? That one looks like it would cast a shadow of your head onto the music.

Can you use extra chain, put up a ceiling hook and hang your ceiling light over your piano....otherwise..is there a plug-in near your piano?...put a piano lamp on it.

Another vote for a proper piano lamp which will give you the light you need to read the music. A small chandelier or pendant would also be nice as long as they don't cast a shadow.

I like your lamp. Can you shorten it to avoid head bonking? I also like the idea to swag it where you want it AND using a real piano lamp for playing.
