Maybe a rose pot (one that's much taller than wide) - I'd cultivate it for its cascading crestation, as it's appearing to be quite happy. You can expect a lot more growth, espectially if it gets a repot into fresh soil (maybe it doesn't need it, but I'm throwing it into the mix).

First thing I thought of when I saw you plant is the Wicked Witch of the East:). I'm melting;).It's neat as is like Cactusmcharris says just get a taller pot. Let it do it's thing.

Agreed, it's fantastic. Get a tall glazed bonsai pot, made for those awesome weeping bonsai trees, repot in that and put it up on a hand carved rosewood bonsai stand...orchid pot may work too, they are more affordable. Yep, that's my cactus fantasy, love the weirdly shaped ones!

cactus, it grew exponentially last summer/autumn I think, but this winter I haven't seen much activity from it. I am hoping it's just dormant and not because of the drab conditions of my new apartment.... I've got a pot ready for it though, I just need to figure out how I will deal with the thorns.

Could you elaborate on Cleisto-waterfall? And I assume TC = terracotta?

It's a Cleistocactus crest, isn't it? Maybe I have the species wrong and it's a Haageocereus aurespina crest? What I meant by waterfall is the cascading part of the plant that's on the left of the picture-when you're repotting it I would stage it with that largish section as the focus of the pot, falling down (as it is now, i.e. cascading) on the side of the pot.
