I have Cararra in our Michigan farmhouse and Calacatta in Chicago and I do it for clients. I don't regret it at all, but there warnings to be had. It does scratch and stain (and chip). But I love it and I'm ok with the patina of age. The first year it might not look as great, but over time it does. However, you really have to be honest with yourself about expectations and what will and won't drive you mad. Cararra might not be for you if that's the case.
