A small table with a lamp would work well.

I would suggest a tall plant placed on the floor. There are a variety of light pots that can be easily moved and you can place pretty river rocks on the soil top to minimize kids interference and add to the aesthetic.
You have a sofa table already so adding another table may look odd.
Another option is a tall floor lamp. Will brighten the corner and be useful as a reading lamp too!
