dining fixture to go with caviar pendant

I will be using three 10" Arteriors Caviar pendants over my kitchen island. Planning on the smoke, but also like the polished nickel. sinks and faucets are stainless and cabinet hardware is satin nickel.

http://www.arteriorshome.com/caviar-adjustable-medium-pendant-dk49912 Island is 4 X 8.5' Perimeter cabinets are stained (brownish) knotty alder and island and a hutch in dining room are black. Shaker style cabinets. House is contemporary but not modern - more transitional - and located in the Sierra mountains. Having a hard time finding a dining fixture to love! Any help would be great. The ceiling are 10' and I feel around 28" or so is a good size for over the table. Table is 48" wide and extendable. Thank you!!

Just so you know the Florence has just a single junction box. And you can select size of ceiling plate, finishes and glass balls. The best part, it is quite affordable. I did one in a home with 11 balls and a round ceiling plate and my price for client was $680. A lot of look for that money. Largely dependent on number of balls of course. It is great looking and they have gotten many compliments and excitement from friends and family.

You want or not, dark finish like pendants? This has a bauble look - what's your dining set like? Round one seems small.

Since your dining table will be in the area with the kitchen, you could get some balls like these for over the table. With your 10' ceiling, you can get them in various size ceiling plates and then hang whatever number of balls you want and the balls come in some smoked colors as well. I think I have a photo of these over a long dining table. bbl

Yes Beverly - that is what I was thinking. I also toyed with the idea of just two of the larger 14" pendants but I was thinking they might not be big enough.

My dining set is somewhat rustic (reclaimed pine) and I'm going to stain the bottom which is a large pedestal black and do the top more of a clear. The dining set I drool after is $3,000 and that is just not in the cards (or wallet).

Not loving the murray feiss, but do like the Florence a bit. The ceiling is already hardwired for a single center connection, so I do have to stick with that.

Excellent, you will love thosependants. Very distinctive and not "like every kitchen". I applaud your creativity. So nice to see. For the glass ball piece, go to a "lighting center" because they can get you the best deal, and the best quality. There are several different manufacturers. They are a little tricky to hang, because you have to figure out what drop length you want for each ball. The electrician can't be trusted to do this. Only you can determine the "look" and drop you want. Show stopper look though, especially over a long table like yours.
