Hello,

I have a large hill in my backyard that we recently had cleared (weeds), mulched and 24 leyland cypresses & 2 magnolias planted on the top for privacy.
I am having a hard time figuring out where to start with landscaping this hillside. I would like to plant some groundcover, shrubs (azaleas and knockout roses), tall grasses and more trees. Eventually, I would like to add a firepit in the valley area (right side of hill).

Could you guys give me any tips on landscaping this (where to put shrubs, flowers, trees, groundcover...)? Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Also, we live in Charlotte NC and this hill gets a TON of sun (might help for picking out plants)
