I have spray painted as well, works for me. Another task that has helped me over the years is to stick, whatever tool I am working with; such as shovel, potato fork, hand trowel, etc. , into the ground to keep upright instead of laying it down on the ground. It has helped me, when I leave it in an area I was working in, to see it from a distance if I get to searching for it. I have searched and searched for tools laying on the ground too many times. Still make that mistake though on occasion!! [ :

Another thing I started doing just today !!! is to put on a holster (no belt so a hang-y down Velcro strip from belt loop worked) for my hand clippers. So easy to lose them - so many appeared after years lost in weeds and compost piles. Felt like Matt Dillon or Rooster Cogburn. Draw, I dare you. Told my son who said his dad screwed a holster onto his garden tractor frame! Yeah, that would work too if I remembered to holster it there.

Thank you for the idea, yeah seriously, the people who make some of these, although they are good at it, aren't gardeners themselves I bet! The "green" tools are for patio gardeners... Not that there is anything wrong with patio gardening!!!!! :D I lost a pair of clippers in my grapevines when I was cutting out the little trees that sprout. *waits for fall*

Ha ha great idea, I used to work at a nursery and the landscape crew was forever taking our tools and not returning them so we painted the handles neon pink so we could easily identify the "stolen" tool, also most of those burly guys didn't want to use pink tools any way lol
