I think if you planted some cedar trees and maybe make a flower garden it would take some of the focus off the brick.

Paint the siding and above the windows.... looks like it needs a roof.

I would paint the arches, the front section that is not brick and the garage a medium earth tone green.

We will definitely be painting the front and aluminum siding and do plan on replacing the roof. I do like the colors in the picture you posted, houssaon. And I love the front door. My husband wants to gray wash the brick, paint the aluminum siding the same gray and paint the front a darker gray. While I like gray, I'm concerned about painting the brick and I think that would be too much gray.

Aluminum siding can definitely be painted! My house has aluminum siding and it was badly in need of fresh paint when we purchased the house in 2015! We had ours professionally painted last Spring and it looks like new siding.

beth115--That would be too much gray with what your husband wants to do. Your house will look drab, especially on gray days. You need another color or two to perk it up, something in a nice contrasting color that works well with the brick and your roof color.

Lack of nice landscaping is what's wrong with the house. Leave the brick alone. Gray a really bad idea.
