About to move into new condo in Brooklyn, and one wall in the living room is 18 feet long and extends slightly into the kitchen. It has a large exposed metal air duct and rather than paint that wall gray as initially planned, we're thinking about painting it the color of our accent wall in our current apartment, a blueish-green, to help soften the giant metal cylinder running through our apartment.

Is it weird to do an accent wall if there are really only 2 walls in the room? Also, I generally think of accent walls as smaller walls that offer a pop of color. Is it weird to do an accent wall when it's a giant 18 foot long wall?
