Glschisler and I talk regularly. I have set up an IB called "What's Going On?" specifically to play around with public and private IB settings to see what is happening with her particular odd experience. You guys can look at that and read through those peoples' experiences with an IB. I had it set to public for a couple of days, and today switched it to "private." I have asked other people to try to view it, comment on it, and include their device/method of accessing it. Some are on the Collaborators list, and some are not. Hope this helps lead to a resolution...

I have noticed today that I can't get to the previous comments on it. There are 20+ comments, and I can't get to any other than the last few comments? That is a glitch in my opinion... :) Glschlisler can't get to any comments on one of my IB's, and I can only get to a few? She is using the updated Ipad app, and I am on my mac, with browser, FFox 55.0.1. Thanks for listening to the gripes. We try to help you guys out with what the general public is seeing/experiencing, so that things are smoother for all. :)

Weird. I went back to my What's Going On? IB, and now I can click on and see "all comments" and click them off and on, and they are all 25 coming up? They were not, twenty minutes ago... Hmmm.... Is that bc I changed the advanced settings to "Private?" LOL

Nope, I can see them all now with both public and private settings. Weird.

Emily, I'm part of this group. I can see the cover photo of the shared idea book in the iPad app. I can not comment. In the past there have been three dots on the bottom right of the page and I could both read and comment.
If I go thru the web browser I can see comments, and comment.
This morning I could read them all, and an hour later I could only see the last 4.

Well, now I can't go back through the comments/posts on an entire ideabook. I used to be able to retrieve/reread the whole conversation, from the first post. Is there a limit to how much "comment content" is held in place? An ideabook is basically a thread, is it not? The public threads give you a way to go back through lengthy discussions ("See more comments") but even on the browser/web version of Houzz I can't get to the "more comments" on an ideabook now? And still, some folks can't even see what is displayed in the comments section? Some are locked out even though they are "invited" to look? I've tried different collaborator modes, too ("can edit" or "can view"); that doesn't seem to make a difference...

Throwing my hands up in disgust. This one is stumping me. LOL

iPad app...running 9.3.5 OS. Latest Houzz update. Can get in to the idea book but cannot add a comment because 1) the three dots only let me edit or delete a comment, or 2) the dots aren't there in the menu where they used to be (portrait and landscape view).

This is what happens when clicking on the 3 dots from within the app. The email link way in seems to work fine.

Ah geez. There's the doodle of Diva I did on my phone while at the vet's... LOL

That is a sketch that appears on my device in the "What's Going on?" IB I created to mess with this problem.

I had updated my iPad Air to version 10.2.1 (14D27) then the 3 dots disappeared using the app on the iPad.

I can access the IB and all the comments if
I go through the browser on my iPad.

The three little dots are back on the shared idea book, stories. I can now access the idea book in the app.

A client of mine is having trouble making comments on photos in our shared, private ideabook. She has an ipad only, so cannot use another device to make comments. She said she has updated her ipad version as well as the Houzz app. She also spoke with a houzz rep who was not very helpful.

Does anyone know why this might be occurring or have you heard of similar issue? This is frustrating and has been going on for several weeks now. Thanks.

I can comment on a shared ideabook via the iPad. I tap the actual comment, not the 3 dots in corner. This opens the comment and I can add to it.

Ladma. Thank you. I also can do the same. Correct: the "more" (3 dots) is for a general comment. For the photo comments, you tap on the photo or the comments under the photo.

I can do this on my ipad, but she says she cannot on her ipad. Thus, I am confused.

When all else fails, I delete and reinstall the app. Sometimes I have more capabilities when I go thru Chrome on a browser, still on an iPad. I have Houzz bookmarked on chrome, that’s the only way I can edit things.

That’s right. I can only edit thru the website. It makes it cumbersome to fix the inevitable auto correct!

Ladma thanks for helping out with this. That is frustrating! Darn those auto corrects!

My client will feel better at least that she is not alone. Emily, do you know that some people cannot edit on the app?
