Are these power strips also available with a surge protector

    No, they don't come with surge protection. To install them correctly in the kitchen, they need to be fed from a GFI outlet. In the case of this kitchen we installed a standard GFI outlet inside one of the cabinets(to avoid clutter in the backsplash), and fed the power strips from that.

    Where can I locate these please? Our contractor has left this for us to complete (apparently we agreed to that at some point) but I'm having a difficulty finding these in smaller sizes and low profile. I live in Seattle too so any help would be appreciated.

    @jen7587: with these power strips, do you plan to keep any appliances plugged in? I'm trying to decide if we should do these, but I'm not sure if it will look odd if a coffee maker is plugged in all the time and the plug comes from under the cabinet.

    Not usually no- just a coffee pot in the corner and that shouldn't look too strange

    Actually, you can get them at Lowe's or Home Depot. They only came in one size and we had to cut them to fit the way we wanted. Good luck!
