Both are beautiful! I love the serenity of the green one and love how the blue pop gives so much dimension in the other!

Interesting observation about the green one. I posted it on our family facebook page and said I see it as calm and peaceful (pieceful). I am glad I am not the only one to feel that.

How did you do that sashing? It appears to have a white line around it. Is that just the seam allowance showing, or is it something else? Whatever it is, I'd like to try it.

That sashing is actually three strips of fabric, green in the centre, then cut to sashing size. The cornerstone is the size of those three strips.

Great quilts, both of them, but I'm particularly drawn to the green one. An Ohio Star with a pinwheel center. How sweet.
