Why don't you post your plan here. Tell the group about your family, the house and your goals. You will get a design that would probably exceed any plan a KD would do. They are usually limited in designing around the lines they offer, etc. In my experience it's like going to a Toyota salesperson and describing your dream car, but you're describing a BMW. That salesperson isn't going to send you to the BMW place, they're going to try to fit a Toyota to you. I'm not trying to be rude, but I can think of 2 dear friends who had a KD designed kitchen(way over 50k ) and every time I walk in those kitchens I think how much better it would have been if they'd gotten input here.

I'm in Miami and I'm using JSC for the cabinets and install. They designed it for me too after I showed them what walls were coming down, etc. I used Before and After for the whole project. So far I'm very happy with it all.

South Florida, is a big area! I know a kitchen designer who is not affiliated with any shop, but she won't travel too far, so maybe you can say which coast or county. She grew up in the business and her father used to be a cabinet maker.

Davewolfs, you might want to start another thread for your kitchen plan, since only folks interested in S FL will be looking at this one.

Chispa, FWIW, South Florida doesn't include the west coast (that area calls itself southwest FL), only the Miami=Palm Beach corridor, but it's for sure true that someone in Homestead will think twice about a job in Jupiter and vice versa.
