Hard to tell which is before & which is after,but WAY too many red pillows -- where would someone have room to sit on the couches ?

They really distract from a very nicely redone room.

It is a nice improvement. The only thing that I don't like is the second higher wood frame on the fire place, it makes the front looking a bit too heavy, but this is just my personal opinion. In any case it looks just as a rustic very tasteful room should be, with a good warm color scheme and right furnishing and details, to make the space feeling cosy and inviting.

I like both rooms. The fireplace is more dramatic in the after photo, but I like the rounded, 3D stones in the before photo. Both versions have their plusses and minuses.

I'd love to know where to get the red area rug!

I don't know which one was the before and which one was the after, but I like both of them.

I have had couches like those with the red pillows. The seats are very deep. They are meant to (and must have) lots of -or very big and thick - pillows to allow the back of knees to be at the front edge of couches when seated on them. Our pillows were comfortable. I like the whole design, love the fireplace and decor.
