I'm getting around to replacing the window treatments left by PO in my kitchen and the little tv room next to it. The tv room has a window and door on one side that faces a window on my neighbor's house (that desperately needs painting) and a small high window on the other side that looks into the other neighbor's kitchen window. The kitchen has a side window that overlooks the neighbor's back porch - that's why there is a lower curtain, for privacy - and a large window that looks out to the backyard. The kitchen is south facing. I was thinking white cellular shades that can lower from the top on all the windows to maximize the light from the side windows. I have plantation shutters in the living room and plan to replace the drapes in the dining room with shutters at some point. I don't want to obstruct the view to my backyard from the kitchen. This is a 1905 detached townhouse. TIA!
