coffee table advice/ transitional European farmhouse style

I have spent hours shopping online and in the local shops for a new coffee table under $1200 with anything but a glass top. I am tired of cleaning it. I would be grateful for any suggestions.

In my mind I would like something interesting in a transitional style and going for a casual with some elegant European farmhouse look. Last update was over 10 years old with existing wood finishes in my home being chocolate cherry with distressing all from Ethan Allen or Hooker Furniture. I don't like matching but would like to coordinate. Please help me find the perfect table.

Bill! I love the marble addition. It will be another design element in the space that would not only be eclectic, but practical. leelee, this table also has a wood top option!

Thank you for the comments and suggestions. I do like the light color tables. I shouldn't do a fabric ottoman because I have 2 dogs that shed. I really like the Ethan Allen marble table and its timeless design.

Could I go with a painted linen white table with a glaze like the back of my bookcase?

The porcini finish is an alternative that is a soft gray wood top!

Another quick question for my Ethan Allen commenters: I have the glass lamp on a British classics end table. The faux hydrangea plant is on your "pineapple" table and the leather chairs are your Barrister. Should I replace either table as well as the coffee? These pieces were in separate rooms in my previous house a year ago but I had to rework everything for our new space. Wish there was a store nearby for design help. Thanks for reaching out.

Based on your fireplace, no pattern in your carpet, and your 2 existing round tables - look at a table with iron legs and a pattern on top. Paul Shaw posted a nice option, and here's one from PB with a parquet top.

Optimal viewz, I had that pottery barn table as my 1st choice until I went to Cincinnati last weekend and saw it in person. I was hesitant because the top is very rustic and reclaimed. I found Bernhardt Everette as a look alike but more finished. Should i stick with light top like Ethan Allen's or go parquet darker wood?

Hi Kathie. Thanks for the Ethan Allen love! I also wish you had a store near you to help you out. I don't think you have to replace either table, but I'm not a fan of seeing the round and oval table together on either side of that chair. Maybe you could move the pineapple table over to where you have the floor lamp and open up that area between the chairs and sofa a bit. I'm sticking with my suggestion for our Vida Square table with the marble top. The iron base checks your boxes for "interesting", "transitional", "casual", and "elegant". The square shape relieves you from having too many circular pieces, and the marble top means you don't have to worry about compatible wood finishes. The caramel undertones of the marble will also look great with your stone fireplace surround.
