plumeria stem problem?

I have had this potted plumeria plant for 2 - 3 years and it's stayed outside year round. It kept it's leave through the winter and suddenly dropped them all at the beginning of March. Now there are dried gouges on one of the branches and a black stop leading into one of them. The stem and branches are still firm so I'm not sure what's happening. Should I be worried?

Did it get too wet for too long?

Is it still alive 6 months later?

It is still alive, and it seems to be doing just fine. It sprouted lots of leaves and grown quite a bit. It also bloomed a while ago (and still has a few flowers left). Not sure what was happening to it in April, there was a spot that formed on the base of the stem near the dirt that wasn't in the pics I posted and it is still there. I will try to post some more pics of it later today.

Here is what it looks like now. The spot at the base with some stretch marks around it, some black spots a few of the leaves, and a new dry gouge on the opposite branch from April. But there's no dryness happening at the base of the leaves.

Very nice flower! Am new at plumeria. I hope ours flower like that. I see a termination at the center of the "Y" in that plant in the pot. Is that the previous inflow nub?
