Finishing up an extensive remodel with a new, modern kitchen. The kitchen has two-tone cabinets: dark stained walnut lowers and high-gloss, white full/uppers.

I have narrowed down the backsplash to two options. One is porcelain, matte white hexagon tile (WOW SubwayLab Tile) and the other is a combination of ceramic, gloss white hexagon & chevron tile layout (Equipe Ceramicas Chevron).

Included are Houzz posted pics of a similarly designed kitchens. Tile images are respective layout samples from the manufacturers.

Design considerations:

- A visual bridge from the wood grain to neutral, white uppers

- Pattern that adds visual intrigue without being too busy or competing with other elements

- Modern edge and hopefully something that remains relevant years down the road

- Perimeter countertop is white quartz. Island is "Borghini" look quartz with waterfall edge
