When I think of glass office, I think of contemporary design. What are the nearby office designs look like? Do you have a view? Do you have clients visit? What "image" do you want to portray for yourself/company? Pictures??? More information and photos of the space(s) would be very helpful.

Hey Darzy! Thank you for your interest! We are trying to achieve a more traditional look. The office is for a general that was many years in the Army. The office has a big view over Manhattan, and all the walls are glass, but with vertical wood panels that create separation in the windows.. The carpet is olive (we can't change this) with a square pattern, it has a 60's look

That will look nice, but as much as I will like to change the carpet, I can't :(

For furnishings could you do something in the darker wood you mention but clean modern lines? Perhaps with some light colored accents (maybe cream). And instead of Tiffany style lamps do somthing with some curves only in stainless steel/white metal?

Maybe a palette like this only with more emphasis on the dark woods. Lamp here isn't bad either!

I like the idea, and I found these lamps, it's not metal, but I like the shape and the material, it's ceramic..

I love that shade of blue with dark wood too. It's just enough to give a little life to the darkness of the wood.

I agree on the cream lamp. The brown one is pretty - but it might not work well with dark wood and I suspect it would really clash with the olive carpet!

yes, a lamp like this will look good in an interior like the one you sent me.. that picture has some details in this yellowish brown in the plants on the right and left

I actually like the olive carpet and the wood separations on the windows. Beautiful office and view! How about a large half moon mohogany desk (oak seems too "ordinary" for a general!). A transitional style desk that looks traditional with a modern twist. Can you add a large chandlier on the ceiling? Leather "wing style" chairs in a cream with nailhead detail for guests (or a subtle stripe pattern), but a velvet executive swivel chair in a dark rich olive color for the desk. Is there electrical available to put lamps on the desk? Custom holes for electrical on the desk to the floor will hide the cords under the lamps and look amazing. If you would like an accent color...think of a pimento olive. Light green, dark green and pimento red. :)

For a traditional look, think English library - a big pedastal desk, lovely leather armchairs, green library lamps, and heavy gold framed pictures, books etc... The contrast with the windows will look amazing....

i love the idea of the cream chair for the general, and these chairs for the guests

or the opposite...

As well I have to put two tall american fagpole sets, so right there i'll have a lot of blue, red and white, plus all the awards which will be wood, metal and glass

Im trying to not put too many colors, cause the view will give that to the office. I think the cream, dark brown and green of the floor is already perfect!

I think you know what you want! ;-) sounds great...... I like that you are limiting the palette cream, dark brown and olive. How will you incorporate the red white and blue? Maybe place them close to the window so they are disassociated from the green, brown and cream?

the desk will have a decent distance from the windows, and on each side of it, but far away from, it, the flag poles. I'd like to put two tables on the very back with all the awards too

To add height in the room opposite the desk, how about a series of three tall wood bookcases (with doors below for storage)? But, I'm thinking glass shelves instead of wood. That way, puck lights shining down through the glass will give your awards respectful glow - especially since your awards are metal and glass and wood. Shelves not all straight across tho...a "random" configuration to display awards more like art. Easels for plaques and a special center display with lights for the most special pieces. Speaking of art, if there is wall space for a good size contemporary art canvas (with a traditional light bar shining on it) will add an unexpected piece for interest and layered lighting throughout the room.
