Paint color

I have an open concept house. I have one color throughout the areas that open to one another. This is my neutral, though some would call it yellow. I like it, and it stays. It is called Pearl Harbor by BM.
I have a recreation room that a friend talked me into painting Sahara by Ralph Lauren (It looked great in her house) I want to change the color of that room to something that will both go with the Pearl Harbor, while also being more cheerful.

the one to the right is better. It's different in every room. We have 16 foot ceilings and a wall of windows.

I bet it looks a lot different on your screen than it does on your walls :-) That's our problem too. We can't see the 'real colour' and how it looks in your rooms.

You can adapt the RBG values on the site and look for a colour that comes close to your Pearl Harbor.

Can you get samples and try it first before you commit.

As you noticed, you have to take the light in your room (both natural and artificial) into account. Also flooring and furniture have an effect. So whatever you do, please test the colour out first before you start painting.

Your link to design seeds is amazing. I always, always swatch or paint a cardboard to test color. They change so much in different spaces. Thank you. I can see that something in a light beigey tone is where to look.
