Seedless kishu -yellowing leaves- hungry?-need advice

I bought a seedless kishu from logees in August because I could not find this variety anywhere else online. I pruned it in August to hopefully help with its odd growth habbit. During winter I watered it rarely and it looked great until I started watering slowly again. The leaves started yellowing and 2 fell of so I was affraid it was getting root rot because the soil was taking forever to drain. So I switched to gritty mix one week ago, to my surprise the roots had lots of new white roots popping out. The leaves continue to yellow, but am not sure if its because of the repotting or because of he lack of fertilization. I use water with vinager. The tree has not grown since it was pruned but I believe it is getting ready to flush new growth. Any advice would be appreciated. It is getting watered everyday now because I did not soak the bark long enough.

does this graft lookweird? Seems super high.
