I just bought slate appliances. Now picking colors for cabinets and countertops seems to be leading me down a different path. I had wanted white subway backsplash and light grey countertops but that seems like to much dark? I need help, thanks

Hi, I'm so sorry for the delay in responding. I somehow missed this. Have you decided what direction to go in yet? I don't thing it's too dark, on the contrary, I think the colors compliment each other nicely. If you go with white painted cabinets make sure the shade of white is either bright or has a grayish tone to it. Compare it to the white of the subway tile. When you put 2 whites together, one can make the other look muddy so pick tones that compliment one another. If going with grays, same thing, check that the gray cabinet doesn't look "blue" next to the counter and so on. Stained cabinets have undertones as well, browns with a grayish undertone look great with this color palette. Where as a brown with a yellow undertone or a stain with a reddish undertone will not look good. Hope this was helpful.

Please do not hesitate to send any questions. My apologies again for the delay.
