Where did this painting come from

That is my mother's (Deborah Ream Davis) retired race horse. She passed away from cancer this year. I would be interested in purchasing, but cannot afford 1,500 and think that is a bit high nevertheless. Thank you

Andrew, we understand that this work has value to you as a family heirloom but we cannot sell it for so little, it is a very well done painting and we have sold works by this artist previously at full asking price. If you could find a way to raise the funds to get closer to a little over 50% of asking price we'd be happy to work with you. You are also welcome to view the artwork in person if you are in the NYC area.

Definitely too high...am willing to go $1000 including shipping. Am the horse owner's sister, should it matter.
