Entryway: What kind of bench?

I would like to add a bench or something but am unsure of what style/type. Suggestions?
I do have a dedicated mudroom in a different part of the house, so for this area, I just want something simple.

Is there a wall or opening across from the hanging purses? I wouldn't put a bench unless you plan on moving those. I like the idea of a thin console.

Do you use the hanging hooks for something or are they just decoration? I see you have a hat and bags on them. Since it is the main entrance, I would put a console table there with art or a mirror over it (some consoles are open and you can put a small rollered ottoman under it to pull out and sit on)......and maybe an umbrella stand.....make sure the door does not hit whatever you have there when it is opened.

Showing 2 photos, and initial looks so natural with hat textures on wood strip. Other side with purple wall and mirror looks a bit different. A bench or whatever you need to have, could bring those 2 together. What if an eggplant distressed little bench or table worked? With entry rug in same colors [polyester?]...

How many inches is there from wall to door hinges [that would fit a bench]?

Are those country / porcelain knobs?

I think I would remove your hooks and not do any furniture, just a large art piece, maybe something that ties into your dr color.

About the console, across from this wall next to the dining room, there is a wall that already has a console table with a wall gallery on top, so I don't want to have 2 console tables across each other.
