It doesn't look like it would be extraordinarily valuable (you could always check with someone who does estate sales to verify), so I'd think about painting it and changing out the hardware. It's a nice china cabinet; just needs a little updating.

nice gift! research 'modernage' to discover the value. personally i would paint it and add fabric to the back panel, something tasteful possessing the wall color, swap out the cabinet & drawer pulls (?) to 2" round wood painted the same color. (use latex paint so you can restore it 8 yrs down the road!)

I don't think the manuf is Modernage..........looks like it was the store in Miami which sold the furniture.

In any case, the piece doesn't look valuable so feel free to do what you need .........fix it so it works for you or sell it and buy what you need.
