Once you paint the brick it cannot be undone ... choose wisely.

I know that. I know that changing the color of the trim and accents would help, but I'd like it to stand out more.

If you live in a climate with freeze and thaw, it would not be advised. If you must, then stain the brick. It will be more interesting too.

Honestly, I love it. Fix trim but really focus on a great garden plan, even if it takes a few years.

I can't wait to change the landscaping, that's one of my passions. It will dramatically improve the look of this modest little place.

If this house is in the Midwest, there are blocks and blocks of the same bungalows. Make sure you don't update and devalue the house.

It's just 9 miles west of Chicago, a nice commute and still an affordable community. I need to put some of the 1920 character back into the house, looking forward to that.

You are buying a classic Chicago bungalow although I love painted brick I would not paint the brick it may really devalue the home to be so different, the winters here are brutal and the paint will take a lot of up keep. (we live in Naperville). Paint the trim, landscape and enjoy the nice weather it will be gone in a few months

Please don't paint this bungalow. Respect this architectural style and the neighborhood. Painting brick is a trend that will not end well. I also live in Chicago.

Good luck with the inspection keep in mind the home will not be perfect the flaws allow for negotiation. We always focus on the big things knowing we will want to change a lot anyway.
