You have an almost blank slate, but using what I see…the tables and the window treatments, sofa and wall color, I would stay rather simple, but use different textures.

Thanks for your ideas. Our leaving room is really a blank slate. The current window treatments will going down. We will be getting all white window treatments. Those beige tables will be getting tossed. I don't know if you can tell. But by the window the wall isn't painted white just yet. Will soon be painted white. I also want to incorporate gold accents. We currently have a mounted tv stand that will be staying. I will post the color of it.

I just don't know what to do with our living room with our couch that we recently bought.

I can post better pictures of the living when I get home later today.

Stephanie, you have nothing in your ideabook, so we really have no idea of your style. With white walls, white drapes, and a very neutral couch, you can go any direction you like. Personally, I would choose the art first, then decide on a rug.

Is the couch dark gray or dark biege? Here's an idea of what white and gold accents could look like. While the couch is lighter than yours, a white or off white neutral colored rug would look nice with your dark floors.
