My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

What product did you use for the trim between window and rainscreen?

Is it an actual product, or just custom bent break metal? inserted into window accessory groove, or mounted to sheathing?

    Hi, that is the million dollar question. Back when we did the project options were limited, we actually just used trims from the fryreglet catalog. I know there are some companies that manufacturer metal trims for windows/doors etc for rainscreen systems now - I would call western specialties, they would know some companies. Good luck - Julie

    thanks for the update! we can't seem to get any specific window manufacturers to provide these 'exterior jamb extensions'... (Pella? Marvin? where you guys at?) I'm sure they'll all eventually do it, once the energy codes update and we all have to do outboard insulation...
