I believe that their easy care causes some people to undervalue them. They don't ask for gallons of water either. What's not to love?

I have a lot of these as cuttings I started in early spring. They're just now leafing our and setting flower buds. You're right though, they seem under-appreciated in most landscapes. I like the pelargoniums with the fancy foliage and dark markings.

Yeah mine are a couple months out of prime.

The wife saved me two from a church made arrangement. I plan to root and plant. Don't they bloom all summer?

All these decades...and I like Pelargoniums and - get this- potted Bougainvillea!..I want to get another few colors of them in pots only. They get too big in ground.

Mine have flowers every month of the year. During winter, they bloom less, but they still manage to bloom. I have some started from cuttings in the far back near the fence, and just earlier this spring, planted lots of cuttings directly in the ground between the aloe striata up front. Those cuttings have just started to leaf out. The bright colored ones right in the center between the aloe didn't ever stop blooming actually, even as cuttings.

This is from 2013. It's been 4 years in the making, and aside from the palms, most everything was started from cuttings - including the brugmansia tucked away in the corner by the porch. And yea, I still battle the bermuda grass in some spots. Those stolons that are left are deep underground.

It could also be seed. Bermuda grass lawns tend to have an unimaginable seed load in them. It's pretty easy to bring some to the surface where they can germinate.
